#03-025

When I print, some things around the edges are cut off. What's wrong?

The problem is not the software, but a combination of your printer and how closely to the edge you place objects. This can be especially true of headers and footers, which are typically found close to the edge.

Unfortunately printers cannot print right up to the edge of a sheet of paper. Generally speaking, the unprintable margin is about 1/4" on the sides and 1/2" on the top and bottom for inkjet printers (sometimes even more). Even laser printers have this problem to a more limited extent.

To solve your problem, position objects and adjust margins so that they do not allow text or pictures too close to the edge of the paper.
