How to create Footnotes/Endnotes?
Footnote references can be automatically numbered (1,2,3 etc.), or you
can choose special or non-alphanumeric characters.
To insert a footnote:
-
Place the cursor where you want the footnote reference to appear.
-
Select Footnote from the Insert menu. The Insert Footnote dialog
box appears.
-
Click the Auto Numbered option of you want footnote references to
be automatically numbered starting with 1. Click the Custom option
if you want the footnote to be referenced with a different character.
-
Click the Options button to specify any special footnote options
(e.g. restart with 1 on each page, or start at a specific number etc.).
-
Click OK
-
Type your footnote text.
To insert an endnote:
-
Select 'Footnote' from the 'Insert' menu
-
Click the 'Options' button to specify any special footnote options.
-
Choose under 'Position' an option to instruct WordExpress where
to place the footnotes. There are three choices: at the bottom of
the page where the footnote was inserted, at the end of the chapter,
or at the end of the document.
