Q: Can
I create a picture with transparent background?
A:
Yes and no, but mostly no. For all image formats other than Windows
Meta File (WMF), the answer is currently no. We do hope to provide
this support in the near future.
If you have an
image in WMF format, and it is a true vector image (that is, it is
not a bitmap in WMF clothing), you can set the background to
transparent. You do this with the 'Background Color' setting in the
'Image Properties' dialog box.
Paint
Shop Pro and most other paint program only operates on bitmap
images, although it claims to support WMF files. If you save a WMF
file in such a program, it will simply be a bitmap in WMF clothing.
To
create vector (or draw) images, you need to use a draw package like
Illustrator, Freehand, Corel Draw or Micrografix Designer.
