#02-012 Creating a Custom Design without SmartDesigns Keywords: smartdesigns, smart designs Last updated: April 1, 1998 Q: I want to create my own design. How do I eliminate the Smart Designs? A: There are times when SmartDesigns don't fit your particular needs or tastes. Don't worry, here are two easy ways to get rid of them to start from scratch. 1. When creating your new Design, check 'Blank Design' option in the 'New' dialog box. If you find yourself always checking this box, you can set it to be the default option in Preferences. 2. If you forget to check the 'Blank Design' box, simply select the Pointer tool and choose 'Select All' from the Edit menu. You can then press the Delete key to remove all SmartDesign Objects from your design.
