Pages/Images don’t display in Netscape

I’ve set up a web site with several web pages. Some of the pages have links to other pages. When viewing the website and checking the links with WebExpress, everything works fine. When I checked it out on the Internet with Netscape, however, two of the pages were “not available” and some of the images would not display or print. When browsing the site with Internet Explorer, everything works fine. What’s going on?

You’ve used spaces in your filenames (either pages or graphics, or both). This should be avoided at all costs. UNIX machines do not deal well with spaces. Internet Explorer works around the spaces by inserting a “%20” (UNIX code for space); Netscape does not.

The latest Netscap Release also has problems with pages not named with a .htm extention. When you save your pages in WebExpress make sure you name them with a .htm extension. If you do not do so, Netscape will load the code of the page and it will not diplay how it is suuposed to look.
